What it is
Integers include negative numbers as well as positive ones. A number line helps you picture them.
Why it matters

How to do it
- Adding a positive moves right; adding a negative moves left.
- Subtracting a number is the same as adding its opposite.
- Two negative signs in a row become a positive.
